3a – Interior
The Guest House was built as a private home in the 1970’s and has a Car Park frontage and rear garden lawn and patio. Inside are two floors, one at ground level and first floor above.
Front door (with vision panels) direct from car park leads into hall where guest umbrellas, transport timetables, local visitor information and indexed street map of Abingdon are available. Leading off the hall is:
- Easy Access – Room 1: twin bedroom and wet room
- Door with vision panels into lounge / breakfast room with guest self-dining facilities, guest library, children’s toy corner and tourist information
- Reception hatch and bell
- Flight of stairs to first floor.
- Visitor toilet
Lift to First Floor
A platform lift with push button controls and an emergency telephone, the 90 cm wide door opens outwards into the hall. Lift is 110cm wide and 142cm deep.
Stairs to First Floor
Eight steps, with left handrail, to landing with feature window providing plenty of daylight.
Another seven steps with right handrail reaches first floor.
